From a material perspective, it has moved away from the previous dominance of wet adhesive labels and now focuses on more convenient and efficient self-adhesive labels. From the perspective of printing methods, currently offset printing and embossing are the main methods, supplemented by other methods such as combination printing and flexographic printing. However, recalling the development process of high-temperature adhesive labels in packaging trade in China, it is fundamentally based on the body of "take it for yourself". Advanced high-temperature adhesive label consumption experiences from prosperous regions such as Europe and America have entered China through various channels, thereby affecting the way and variety of high-temperature adhesive labels in China.
Currently, in prosperous regions such as Europe and America, thin film adhesive labels and paper adhesive labels each account for half of the high-temperature adhesive label products. When it comes to high-temperature adhesive labels in China, industry regulations only suggest paper adhesive labels. Due to the fact that over 90% of the high-temperature adhesive labels used in the current high-temperature market in China are paper adhesive labels
The reason for this difference is the high temperature packaging methods and diverse varieties in prosperous regions such as Europe and America, such as blood bag labels and test tube labels used for blood products, hanging labels used for hanging bottles, ultra-low temperature labels used for laboratory dry ice and liquid nitrogen storage such as Danali, disinfection labels used for various disinfection methods, syringe labels used for pre filled syringes, fluorescent labels used for product identification, removable labels used for repeated exposure, and anti-counterfeiting labels with different characteristics and diverse varieties. However, in China, high temperature labeling machines are still dominated by API, traditional Chinese patent medicines and simple preparations and chemical preparations, and are mostly packaged in glass bottles, PE and PP plastic bottles. Looking at it in detail, the high-temperature industry in China mainly uses paper adhesive labels, which print accessories on copperplate paper as the surface material, use hot melt adhesive and water-based adhesive, and use white glassine paper and kraft paper as the base paper. I have communicated with many high-temperature resistant label printing companies in my work and found that many companies have only come into contact with paper adhesive labels, mistakenly thinking that adhesive labels only need paper. Therefore, the author believes that in addition to the single high-temperature packaging method that hinders the use of thin film adhesive labels, Adobe also has a large local reason that high-temperature consumer enterprises and high-temperature resistant label printing enterprises do not understand the variety of adhesive labels.
